AdWords Alternatives For Those Being Slapped By Google
The google slap is not new to online marketers that have used the Google AdWords advertising platform to get traffic to their websites. After all they are the largest PPC provider on the net. The problem is that they also have the largest amount of advertisers on their network, all trying to outbid each other and pushing CPC prices to the max. This in turn creates the need for an AdWords alternative for many.
This is all good if you are Google collecting all those payments. For advertisers though it creates much harder work for us. We have to ensure our websites are achieving the highest possible quality score to push costs down a bit. Then, when we start to branch out across broader keywords to further drive more targeted traffic, we need to further optimize our sites in order to maintain those quality scores.
It becomes not so easy to profit from Google AdWords when you think of all the work involved behind those little text ads appearing across the search engine results page.
What I found surprising the most was a post I read on a website the other night from a fellow advertiser, which actually made me realize that Google was actually declining on advertising due to the ever dreaded “slap” term they have become so popularly attached to. People are having accounts terminated for a variety of reasons leaving them no option but to get an AdWords alternative for their online advertising.
People are looking for AdWords alternatives. not just because they are tired of the quality scoring pushing their prices up and struggling to compete with other advertisers. But the post I read, shed some light on things and showed the lack of customer service that Google provides.
Advertisers are paying top dollar for advertising space within the Google network and the least you would expect for any problems is a great customer service department that can help us out with problems.
Not the case. Their responses are computer generated the majority of the time. The actual post I read was relating to an account that had been shut down through absolutely no fault of the advertiser. His website had a security issue that someone else managed to access and ultimately diverted his traffic.
You would think Google would understand these things can and do happen to real people. Despite this Guy having used the AdWords service for years their was no getting that account re-instated. One breach and his revenue form AdWords was gone in a flash.
This is when I realized that people are looking for AdWords alternatives not just because they are struggling to make a profit from the platform but due to the customer service and account terminations from Google it is leaving advertisers with no other option to get AdWords alternatives in place and fast.
One of the most popular yet underused traffic source for an AdWords alternative is switching from PPC advertising over to PPV (pay-per-view) advertising. Since PPV isn’t saturated with other advertisers like the AdWords platform, traffic can be picked up at a fraction of the cost and doesn’t require knowledge of SEO and quality scoring. It is also a great place to start paid search advertising for people that are just starting out and looking for a cheaper alternative to PPC traffic.
